It's tried and true and I'm very reluctant to try others. (Not to say ATM hasn't had problems when OS versions change!) It's also available for PCs.

Are there any other PD font management apps, or is EasyFont 32-bit friendly? I have nearly 1000 fonts in FontDir on the RPC, and I can't imagine life would be fun if I simply made them all available at once on the Iyonix. I suppose I could select fonts as and when I need them on the RPC, then make them temporarily

But if you do prefer FN's clean single-window interface and ease of use as many people do, then ATM's font management features can cause problems and should not be used at the same time. For one reason or another lots of folks must work with both TT and T1 fonts. IMO FN manages this situation better than ATM.

When he wondered aloud why I was buying ANOTHER copy of ATM, I pointed out to him that this was a font management tool. He then told me (with a straight face) that Windows did not need font management tools because one comes built into Windows! I have always wondered myself what ATM does.

I am getting ready to use a font management program. It suggests to move all fonts to a new folder, except the screen fonts and the OpenType fonts. When I open the fonts folder in the control panel there is a column "Attributes" (when in detail view). Some fonts have Attribute "A" and some have "RA" what does that

Font Navigator is much quicker and easier to use -- drag and drop, what could be simpler? <g> But more importantly one must be very careful with the settings in ATM I let ATM sit there and do its rasterizing thing in the background, but I never use it for activating/deactivating or any other font management duties.
